beautiful guesthouse. simple contemporary Japanese design. very comfortable beds. excellent shared bathroom facilities. great location. staff were excellent. we had a small double room 1 night and then had the family room on our 2nd night. both rooms were great. teh family room is beautiful - huge, elegant Japanese design, very comfortable beds. It also has a cafe which is funky and great food. We used this as a 2 night base during our Shiminamo Kaido bike ride and spent a full day cycling around the island. great way to stretch out the ride. our day ride on the island was incredibly peasceful. A couple of good local restuarants and a local brewery within a couple of minutes walk. Amazing temple/shrine complex just over the road.

It was a lovely place to relax while cycling, amazing facilities, super clean, very comfortable, had great common areas to hangout and interact with other travellers (even had a bunch of manga to read including all of slam dunk). The staff were amazing, super accommodating and very friendly, despite arriving very wet from the rain, they helped me be comfortable and relax. The cafe downstairs is also a lovely thing to have here, I didn’t need or want to leave this place at all during the duration of my stay, I was able to meet and interact with some other lovely people there and it was overall an amazing experience. 10/10

We stayed here for one night after a full day of cycling and it was a lovely place to recharge for an evening. The bed was super comfy and the facilities were all very clean. We used the travelling without baggage system and when we arrived our bags were already up in our room and they even told us just to leave them there after we checked out and they would deal with taking them back downstairs. Seeing as we were exhausted from cycling it was such a nice detail for them to do the heavy lifting for us!

We cycled the Shimanami Kaido from Imabari to Omishima and stayed for a night. The accommodation is really close to the famous Oyamazumi Shrine (the netflix show 'Let's Get Divorced' had a scene here). Lawson is right around the corner too. Not hotel related but if you're cycling, it's a good 25-minute uphill cycle, so brace yourself for it. But when you return to the "main" area where Roadside Station Tatara Shimanami Park is, then you'll enjoy the smooth ride down.

Lovely vibe. Very beautifully done up, great kitchen and sparkling clean showers. Room wasn't super large maybe compared to similar priced places in a city, but it was totally fine and a great place. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was available in attached cafe and they were really good. There didn't seem a lot of places to eat in town, so we enjoyed this spot a few times. Interesting place to bike around on a spare day we had. Highly recommend
